I. CALL TO ORDER

A.S. Chief Justice Kiana Caton called the meeting to order at 8:06 AM in Presidential Suite at the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.

II. ROLL CALL

A. Voting Members Present: Kiana Caton, Sergio Cisneros, Brenna Culliton, Dillon McLean, Erik Tamiyasu, Jacob Grant, Sarah Nohrden

B. Voting Members Absent: None.

C. Non-Voting Members Present: Jennifer Esquivel-Parker.

D. Non-Voting Members Absent: Lee Mintz.

E. Visitors Present: None.

III. MODIFICATION OF AGENDA:

It was moved and seconded to approve the agenda for today’s meeting.

CULLITON/CISNEROS

Kianna accepted adding Information Item C. Appointment and Review Committee and Item D.

Last Chance Alternative Reports as friendly amendments.

The agenda was approved as amended.

IV. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES

It was moved and seconded to approve the Judicial Affairs Council minutes from 10/24/14 as attached.

V. CHAIR’S REPORT:

A. Kiana will be representing Associated Students on Homecoming Court! As a reminder, Erik is scheduled to go to BOD on Monday and Sarah to UC on Wednesday.

VI. ACTION

Appointments and Resignations: It was moved and seconded to approve the appointments and resignations memo, as attached.

VII. INFORMATION

A. Attendance and Duties Report: The attendance and duties report was reviewed.

B. Bylaw Amendments: Bylaw amendments were reviewed and additional amendments were assigned to JAC members. JAC will act on the amendments on 11/14.

C. Appointment and Review Committee: Interviews for the Campus Community Commission Representative and Elections Coordinator are potentially scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 9. Kiana is the chair and not able to attend. JAC agreed that Brenna, as the Vice Chair of JAC, can serve as the chair in her absence.

D. Last Chance Alternative Reports: JAC will review the Last Chance Alternative Reports and Kiana will remind those who have not yet submitted their reports.
