JUDICIAL AFFAIRS COUNCIL MINUTES
Wednesday, July 9, 2014 – 3:30 PM
Government Affairs Conference Room • Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union
I. CALL TO ORDER
A.S. Chief Justice Kiana Caton called the meeting to order at 4:43 PM in A.S. Government Affairs Conference Room in the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.
II. ROLL CALL
A. Voting Members Present: Kiana Caton, Sergio Cisneros, Brenna Culliton, Dillon McLean (via phone), Sarah Nohrden (via phone), Erik Tamiyasu (via phone).
B. Voting Members Absent: Jacob Grant.
C. Non-Voting Members Present: Jennifer Esquivel-Parker.
D. Non-Voting Members Absent: Lee Mintz.
E. Visitors Present: Kevin Hancock, Alex Padua.
III. MODIFICATION OF AGENDA:
It was moved and seconded to approve the agenda for today’s meeting.
CISNEROS/CULLITON
A friendly amendment was made to add the approval of previous minutes to today’s agenda.
The agenda was approved as amended.
IV. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES
It was moved and seconded to approve the minutes from the 6/27/14 meeting, as attached.

V. PUBLIC COMMENT:
None.
VI. INFORMATION:
A. The resolution process was discussed.
B. The purpose and processes of the Executive Committee were discussed.
C. The grievance process was discussed.
D. The Justices discussed proposals for a finalized weekly meeting time for the semester and will send their availabilities to Jennifer Esquivel-Parker by July 22.
E. The next scheduled Judicial Affairs Council meeting will take place once the fall semester has begun. August 7 is a possible date to work on more policies.
