I. CALL TO ORDER

A.S. Chief Justice Sean Guardian called the meeting to order at 9:05 AM in Council Chambers at the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.

II. ROLL CALL

A. Voting Members Present: Sean Guardian, Kiana Caton, Alex Johnstone, Abby Kim, Maneet Deol, Dillon McLean, Jessica Valo.

B. Voting Members Absent: None

C. .Non-Voting Members Present: Jennifer Esquivel-Parker, Lee Mintz.

D. Non-Voting Members Absent: None.

E. Visitors Present: None.

III. MODIFICATION OF AGENDA:

It was moved and seconded to modify and approve the agenda for today’s meeting.

JOHNSTONE/MCLEAN

A friendly amendment was made to add three Action Items about council member duties, appointments and resignations, and the appointment of Justices to sit on Appointments and Review Committee.

The agenda was approved as amended.

IV. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES

It was moved and seconded to approve the minutes from the 3/26/14 meeting, as attached.

V. CHAIR’S REPORT:

The Appointments and Review Committee is meeting tomorrow to beginning the appointment process for next year’s A.S. Government.

VI. INFORMATION:

Proposed Bylaw Amendments were reviewed. The Attendance and Duties Report was reviewed.

VII. ACTION

A. Council Member Duties:

1. It was moved and seconded to assign an absence to the A.S. Government members that have not sent an e-mail to Jennifer Esquivel-Parker on completing their tabling requirement.

B. Requests for Excused Absences:

1. It was moved and seconded to approve the request for an excused absence from Johnathan Cole for missing the ASBOD meeting on 4/21/2014, copy attached.

C. Appointments and Resignations:

1. It was moved and seconded to add Andrew Gatz as the Student Veteran Organization representative on Student Diversity Commission.

D. Appointments and Review Committee:

It was moved and seconded to approve the appointment of Maneet Deol and Abby Kim for Justice interviews, as attached.
