An alumni event is taking place this Friday with 150 people signed up. - Student-at-Large, Karen Sawouq:
SWANA Heritage Month was announced! The budget for the graduation celebration has been approved and marketing is underway. - Student-at-Large, Noah Stuart:
A task force transition guide is being developed for SWANA to help pass along responsibilities to the incoming team. - Student-at-Large, Jasmin Zeis-Khalil:
A push to incorporate event presentations across the three council meetings is in progress to streamline the process, with discussions ongoing on how to integrate this into CSSA.
X. EXECUTIVE REPORTS
- A.S. President, Kareen Holstrom reported on the following:
Members were welcomed back. The recent Children's Center Board meeting was noted as insightful.
Work on SWANA reports is currently in progress, and an APA transition meeting was discussed with the new chair expected to sit in on upcoming sessions. - Executive Vice President, Milan Rawls reported on the following:
Dress code is formal attire in keeping with the fantasy dark color theme; RSVPs are due by Friday.
Appointed interviews were due today, please make sure to support and guide those who will be stepping into your roles for the coming year - Vice President of External Relations, Abby McLachlan reported on the following:
CHESS was a success.
CSSA is working on an alternative consultation resolution, with a second read this Saturday to address system-wide inconsistencies.
Advocacy toolkits should be up and running on the website shortly.
This Saturday is also Explore SDSU, please sign up for tabling. - Vice President of Financial Affairs, Aliza Siddiqui reported on the following:
Finance Forward Week will feature financial workshops on April 28th and April 30th from 1–2 PM, in partnership with Cal Coast. - Vice President of University Affairs, Nadia Gallarzo reported on the following:Two resolutions will be voted on this Wednesday. A third resolution on Palestine will have a second read where edits will be made during the meeting and will be voted on at the 4/22 meeting. The Academic Affairs Open House is tomorrow from 11 AM–1 PM, recruiting for executive boards and promoting their council. UAB is currently reviewing YVM submissions and collecting data to pass along.
- EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ADVISOR REPORT: Christina Brown reported on the following: No Board of Directors meeting next week. Have a great semester!
