![]() One era ends and another begins!
On the last Friday, in January, AS hosted a retirement party for Susan Heiser, who served as the Associate Director of AS since 1971. Many current and former Executive Officers, Council members, Finance Board members, The Daily Aztec editors, AS employees and University employees were present to share in this celebration with Susan. It was a night filled with heartfelt stories and many laughs! In this new chapter of her life, Susan plans on travelling, especially to Denver to see her grandchildren and catching-up on all the leisurely things there were never enough hours in the day to do! Susan had an opportunity to work with her successor Christina Brown, who has been with AS now for four months! Christina, who previously worked at Sony Pictures Entertainment, is excited about her new position. She has already established strong working relationships with the student leaders and is invigorated by the energy on the campus. Christina is a CSU Long Beach grad and earned her MBA from UCLA. She moved to San Diego two years ago and makes her home in La Jolla with her husband Eric and her three children. Class Notes2000’sTyler Truong Diep, College of Arts & Letters (’02-’05), was elected to the Westminster City Council this past November at the very young age of 25! He will also be starting law school in the fall. Ian Bevan, President’s Cabinet (’07-’08) is working on his MBA in Sustainable Business Management at the Presidio School of Management in SF.
