First Class Graduates
Bio: We are a local hip-hop music group that creates music for enjoyment. We love what we do and we strive to provide our audience with a fresh perspective on both music and hip-hop culture and inspire others to pursue their dreams. The First Class Graduates represent the normal people who dedicate themselves to a greater cause and are not afraid to see their goals come to fruition.
Bio: We are The Feds. Originating from Northern California, we are now a So Cal based indie rock group. Our style touches all indie, rock, and alternative genres. Our dashingly good looks and sharp dress compliments our uniqueness and sophistication, but we try not to let that distract you. We might be young as a band, but our music is certainly of age.
Bio: Splavender? What kind of name is that for a band?
A fitting one. One that describes a multi-colored, spontaneous approach. The end result: A delicious blend of audio flavors. It’s lush. It’s fuzzy. It’s melodic. It’s jagged. It’s swirly with kaleidoscopic time changes. But it never loses sight of one important fact: The heartbeat is the most important rhythm instrument of all. Splavender is Grant Glibert, Oscar Carrion, Andre Flores, Anthony Noriega and Danny Ellis, who wrote all nine songs on the band’s debut Shoreline Dilemma. Splavender performs a collection of uniquely crafted, sun drenched party anthems for young lovers. It’s the punk version of “Pet Sounds.” It’s Splavender: The band you’ve had in your head since you first fell in love with music.
Bio: Carl Sharpe, better known as "Sincere" now age 24, is a California native who began rapping at the age of 5. The young artist fell in love with music when his cousin wrote him his first rap to recite. Though he clearly wasn't the artist that he is today, Sincere set out to be great. It was not until after Sincere moved to San Diego in 2009 and began attending San Diego State University (SDSU) that he found the confidence and realization of his abilities, that he decided to pursue his dream. Having won multiple talent competitions and performing in various showcases such as SDSU's annual festival (Greenfest) back in 2012, Sincere has blossomed into the ultimate performer and entertainer.
Bio: The Alternative band “Going Postal” was formed on October 19th, 2014. It consists of four members, Pete Spaeth, Max Renner, Andrew Freeman, and Max Meredith. All members of ‘Going Postal” are currently freshmen at SDSU. Max R sings and plays rhythm guitar. He has been singing since “he was a youngin” and has been playing guitar since 8th grade. Pete plays lead guitar and has also been playing since 8th grade. Andrew plays bass and has been killing it for 7 years. Max M smacks the drums and has been playing for 9 years. Max R sent Pete a picture of the GreenFest audition poster 2 days before the deadline; within a day the band was formed. The four members immediately booked 2 hours of rehearsal space and recorded a quick demo, narrowly submitting the demo in time. “Going Postal” is super stoked to be playing in the GreenFest Showcase this year!
