Spring Election Schedule 2008

January 28 Monday 8:00am Applications open for General Elections for A.S. Executive Officer positions and all College Representative seats on A.S. Council.
February 15 Friday 4:00pm Deadline to submit signed candidate application and refundable $100 candidate deposit to A.S. Government Affairs Office.
February 15 Friday 4:00pm Candidate statement deadline. Optional 125 word candidate statement for publication. Candidates MUST submit statement per specific instructions in application packet or statements will be rejected.
February 18 Monday 8:00am Write-in candidate applications available in A.S. Government Affairs Office.
February 25 Monday 5:00-6:00pm

February 27 Wednesday 8:00am-Noon Appeal hearings for disqualified candidates. (Disqualified candidates must make appeal appointment with Elections Manager, 594-4984.) Lottery for ballot positions held in the Presidential Suite. After the lottery, the filing process and procedures are complete.
March 14 Friday 4:30pm Earliest Time to Begin Open Campaigning
March 17 Monday Noon-1:00pm

GENERAL ELECTIONS
March 28 Friday 4:00pm Deadline for all candidates to submit campaign expenditure statements to A.S. Government Affairs Office. All campaign materials must be removed (posters, signs, banners). Run-off campaigning begins (if necessary).
Mar. 31 - April 4 Mon.- Fri. All Day Spring Break
April 7 Monday 4:00pm Campaign expenditure statements open to public. Deadline for submitting election complaints to the A.S. Government Affairs Office.
April 8 Tuesday TBD Formal appeals hearing for violations of expenditure statement requirements.
April 9 Wednesday 3:00pm A.S. Council approval of election results (unless there is a run-off election, in which case approval will be postponed one week).
April 10-11 Thurs - Fri 8:00am
