| 16 | The Association has the right to self government, pursuant to the California Education Code, Section 89300, 89301 and 89302, and subject to the regulations of the State of California, the Trustees of the California State University and University policies. |
| 17 | The authority of the Associated Students shall be vested in the Associated Students Executive Officers (President, Executive Vice President, Vice President of External Affairs, Vice President of Finance, and Vice President of University Affairs) and in the A.S. Council. (Revised 4/17/02) |
| 18 | Neither the A.S. Council nor any body or organization under its jurisdiction shall adopt any policy which abridges the freedom of speech, assembly, press, religion or basic rights of an individual, nor shall any of the bodies or organizations discriminate in membership on the basis of race, sex, color, age, religion, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, physical or mental handicap, ancestry or medical condition, nor shall any of such bodies or organizations violate the policies set forth in the University Affirmative Action document. |
