These Bylaws may be amended by the A.S. Council upon a two-thirds
(2/3) approving vote of those present and voting providing notice of
intent to revise the affected section has appeared in two (2) separate
issues of the Daily Aztec. Notice shall include the locations(s) where
copies of the proposed changes may be obtained with the deletions to
the existing Bylaws appearing in strike out type and any additions appearing
in bold face print and underlined, unless otherwise stipulated by the
Council. The Council may change only the method of advertisement, doing
so by a two thirds (2/3) vote |

These Bylaws may also be amended by an approving vote of two thirds
(2/3) of a quorum of members of the Association at a regular or special
meeting of the Association, or by two thirds (2/3) of the eligible voters
of the Association in a regular or special election, such meeting or
election being called either by the A.S. President, or on demand of
a petition signed by ten (10) percent of the total membership of the
Association. |

Amendments to these Bylaws become effective immediately upon adoption
by Council and signature by the A.S. President and the University President. |

All meetings of the Association shall be conducted according to parliamentary
laws set forth in the latest edition of Robert's Rules of Order Revised. |

An up to date copy of these Bylaws shall be prepared and maintained
by the A.S. Parliamentarian and deposited with an appropriately designated
member of the University. The A.S. Parliamentarian shall, at least once
a year, prepare a sufficient number of copies of these Bylaws so that
they may be made available to members of the A.S. Council and to other
interested organizations or individuals. |
