We recognize the needs of persons with disabilities, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and make every effort to comply with both ADA and state accessibility mandates. Animals:Service animals with proper designation and/or paperwork are allowed in the Cox Arena. Service animals must be kept on a leash and cannot be disruptive to other guests. Animals without this designation are considered pets and are not allowed in the venue. For more information, please contact the Cox Arena Management Office at (619) 594-0234. Assisted Listening Devices:Assisted listening devices are available at the Customer Service entrance at our front gate. Either a driver license or credit card are required for a deposit. ATMs:ATM’s are located at most of the concession stands. These locations are designated with a green ATM sign. Baby Changing Stations:Baby changing stations are located in the men’s and women’s restrooms outside of Door 2. They are also located in the women’s restroom outside Door 6 and in the men’s and women’s restrooms on the floor level. Bags and Backpacks:Large bags and backpacks are not allowed in the Cox Arena. All items are subject to search prior to entrance into the facility. Banners, Posters and Signs:Banners, posters and signs larger than 20” x 20” are not allowed in Cox Arena. All items are subject to content review. Obscene and/or vulgar messages will not be allowed. Children's Entry for Aztec team basketball games:All children 3 and older need a ticket to attend. Please go to (http://goaztecs.collegesports.com/) for information on Aztec ticket promotions. Children's Entry for Entertainment events:For most events “babes in arms” are allowed into the event without a ticket. It is assumed that, in this case, the child will sit in the adult’s lap. For select events, every person (regardless of age) must have a ticket to attend. Please contact the Cox Arena Management Office at (619) 594-0234 for more information. Customer Service Booth:The customer service booth is located at the main entrance on the west side of the arena outside Door 1. This booth is staffed throughout the event. They distribute assisted listening devices, hold lost and found items and disabled assistants are stationed at this location. Doors/Gates Open:Depending on the event, gates/doors typically open 60 to 90 minutes prior to the show start or tip-off of each event. Please call (619) 594-0234 to verify times for the event you plan to attend. Emergency Phone Calls:To reach somebody attending an event (during an emergency ONLY), please call our administrative office at (619) 594-0234. It is imperative that you have their exact seat location including Section, Row and Seat. We will gladly take a message to them. Without a seat location, it could be impossible to locate them. We are unable to make PA announcements during events. Elevator:We have one passenger elevator available for our guests with disabilities and their companions. Guests wishing to use our elevator will find it inside Door 7 at the top of Section R. First Aid:In the event of an emergency, please notify any Cox Arena event staff team member or uniformed police officer in your area. EMTs staff a First Aid Center located on the floor level of the arena outside the passenger elevator. Food and Beverages:Food from an outside source is OK as long as it is put in a paper or plastic bag. Beverages (including alcohol) purchased outside the arena will not be permitted into the arena at any time. However, for most events sealed water is OK due to specific medical needs. Concession stands are conveniently located throughout and selling various types of food and beverages. Alcoholic beverages are available on an event by event basis. All guests wishing to purchase alcohol will be required to show a valid form of ID when purchasing alcoholic beverages. Guest and Fan Conduct:The following behaviors may lead to ejection from the facility:
Hours of Operation:Normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM with additional hours on event days. Lost and Found:During an event, all Lost & Found items are turned in to the Customer Service booth (located at the main gate outside of Door 1). If you find an item during an event you can simply give it to any member of our staff and they will take it to this booth. Once the event is completed, all unclaimed items are taken to our main administrative office. If you need to follow-up on a lost item, please call (619) 594-0234. Lost Parents and Found Children:Any parents looking for their children should report to the Customer Service booth located at the main gate outside of Door 1. Merchandise:SDSU Aztec Merchandise is available for purchase during most men’s basketball games. Parking:For more information about parking, please visit the Directions and Parking page. Prohibited Items:Please read the Restrictions page for a complete list of prohibited items. Property Check-in:Property check-in is located outside of our front gate. We ask that you leave any prohibited items in your vehicle or at home. Items are checked in at your own risk. Re-Entry:Guests of the arena may not leave and then re-enter. All guests must present an unused ticket to gain entrance to the Cox Arena. Seating:Seating locations within the arena are reserved for guests holding valid admission tickets. Please sit only in your assigned seat so as not to inconvenience other guests and always retain your scanned ticket or ticket stub to allow our arena staff to verify your proper seat location. Security:Security is provided to offer professional protection for the guests, performers and facility. Smoking Policy and Locations:Smoking is only allowed on the outside concourse of the upper level. Television Monitors:Television monitors are located in each permanent concession stand. Violation of Policies:Any violation of arena policies or state/local laws may result in ejection, fines, and/or prosecution to the fullest extent of the law. Violators may be barred from future events. Wheelchairs:Guests needing assistance simply need to notify a staff member at any of our entrances. The Gate Supervisor will radio to Customer Service. One of our representatives will pick you up in a wheelchair and escort you as close as possible to your seat location. They will then make arrangements to pick you up at the conclusion of the event. Please keep in mind that it may take a little extra time at the conclusion of the event depending on the number of people to be picked up. Your Input:We greatly value your thoughts and opinions.
