Introduction
With over 200 Student Organizations at San Diego State University, it is not possible to fully fund each through Associated Students. Recognizing this, and the importance of Student Organizations to Student Life, the Finance Board of Associated Students has compiled the following resource guide to assist you and your organization with its fundraising needs.
If you have further questions after reading this guide, feel free to contact the Vice President of Finance: as.vp.fin@sdsu.edu, or 619/ 594 7260
Fundraisers
Once your group has decided to raise funds, it is necessary to decide what type of fundraiser best fits your group. Compiled below are various fundraising ideas, grouped into three distinct categories: Service, Community Partnership, and Resale. Service-oriented fundraisers will focus on labor-intensive activities that are generally lucrative and reliable. Community Partnership fundraisers will focus on restaurants and other businesses that offer percentage programs to student organizations that wish to sponsor an event at a particular location. Resale fundraisers will focus on programs that involve a product, donated or otherwise legitimately obtained, that is sold for a profit.

PETCO Park, Qualcomm Stadium, Cox Arena, Elite Show Services
PETCO Park:
During baseball season, California Sport Service offers fundraising opportunities to non-profit groups and charitable organizations. Groups will have the choice to commit to a concession location for the entire season, or work individual dates as in-seat food runners. Groups will need a Tax-ID Number and a completed W-9 form before working for PETCO. For the most recent event schedules, pay schedules, and contracts, visit:

Or contact the Concessions Manager at spatters@dncinc.com or 619/ 795 5919.
Qualcomm Stadium:
During football season, both professional and collegiate, as well as during special events, Centerplate Concessions at Qualcomm Stadium offers non-profit organizations the opportunity to raise funds through the staffing of a concession location or as in-seat food runners. Centerplate requires that all volunteers are 21 years or older, due to the handling and sale of alcohol. Centerplate also requires groups to have a Tax-ID Number and completed W-9 form. Elite offers work to student groups at various entertainment venues throughout San Diego. Typically, students are employed as ushers for a shift of approximately five hours. Elite pays $50 per student and processes checks on a weekly basis. If you wish to schedule dates with Elite, you must first contact Deborah Moser at the address or phone number below. After contacting Deborah, you must fax your completed W-9 form to Elite’s office. After your group is registered with Elite, you will receive periodic event updates from Deborah. When requesting dates for your group, you must e-mail a roster of participants to Deborah, George, & Cheryl (addresses below). Once you complete these steps, your organization needs to show-up and work the event. The uniform is specified as follows: black pants, white T-shirt or white collared shirt, black belt, and solid black shoes.

Advisor and authorize signers
- Name & Title
- Current Address & Phone Number
